I remember when I did my first handstand in the middle of the room! It took me by surprise and after six seconds I intentionally fell out because I was so surprised!! I have no gymnastics background so being on my hands was very foreign to me. But it made me feel like a kid again!
The difference between someone who can do a hand stand, and someone who can’t? They’ve just tried many more times!
Inversions are magical and all about play.
Most importantly they are about the journey to being upside-down not the destination.
Whether you are brand new to handstands and arm balancing, or are working on existing skills you will be covered in this workshop.
All the skills needed to balance on your arms or stand on your hands are not only great for inversions, but create strength and awareness in the body in general.
You will learn drills to strengthen hands, wrists, and shoulders, activate your core, and work on shoulder and hamstring flexibility too!
If you have any wrist issues you can practice any inversion on your forearms.
I have been teaching this workshop for over 10 years- it’s one of my favorites to teach -and I’ve helped numerous people become more confidence inverting! I’ve also been fortunate enough to train with some of the best handstand teachers out there.
All levels encouraged, but some basic yoga experience is suggested.
